Swedish Tax Agency

The Skatteverket since 1 January 2004, the Swedish Tax Agency, which is responsible for both the financial and tax administration, as well as acting as the managing authority. Prior to 2004, the Authority was Skattemyndigheten. The official German name is: The Swedish Tax Agency.

Tasks, in addition to the collection of taxes, the administration of the estate directory, the Folkbokföring and since January 2008, the oversight of the state claims. The Skatteverket was formed from the pre-existing ten financial authorities and the Reich Finance Office ( Riksskatteverket, RSV). It employed about 11,500 people, 380 of them in the head office in Solna. Other branches exist in all seven " regions " of the Skatteverket, in every major city.
