Sweet Dreams ( Are Made of This ) is a song by Eurythmics from the year 1983. Was written by the band and produced by David A. Stewart. The song is mostly just called Sweet Dreams. The song was written on the day of the dissolution of the relationship between Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart and Lennox shows ' view of what drives people in their lives. Formation

Annie Lennox had felt the time their relationship with Stewart as very stressful and Stewart explained that it would end this. The duo filled empty milk bottles with different amounts of water and smote them at the desired locations.

Sweet Dreams ( Are Made of This ) was published on May 12, 1983 worldwide. It was a number-one hit in the U.S., Canada and France. The song is 4:52 minutes long, on the B - side is the piece I Could Give You (A Mirror). It was released as the fourth song from the same album. 1991 published by the Eurythmics another version of the song entitled Sweet Dreams ( Are Made of This ) '91, which reached number 48 in the UK.

Music Video

For the music video Chris Ashbrook was obtained as a director, the screenplay was written by Dave Stewart. It was filmed on 11 and 12 January 1983 in the Trillion Studios, the exterior shots were held in the county of Kent. Here also the surrealist -inspired design of the clip was very influential.
