Sweet Little Sixteen is a rock ' n' roll song, which was written by Chuck Berry and recorded first. He was released in January 1958 Chess in 1683. The song reached # 2 on the American charts and # 1 on the Billboard R & B charts. The magazine Rolling Stone, the song was set in 2004 at number 274 of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
Text
The text tells the story of rock 'n' roll fans, especially of a young girl ( She's just got to have about half a million framed autographs ). She begs to be allowed to go to a concert (Oh daddy daddy I beg of you whisper to mommy it's all right with you ). After the song portrays what the girl wears ( Tight dress and lipstick she's sportin ' high heel shoes ). But the next day she's the good girl again and goes to school (Oh, but tomorrow morning she'll have to change her trend and be sweet sixteen and back in class again).
