Sweetbox

Sweetbox is an American Pop Project, which was founded by the German producer Heiko Schmidt and Roberto "Geo" Rosan.

With Kimberly Kearney as a singer and the single Booyah, Here We Go, the debut managed in summer 1995. Early as 1996, Dacia Bridges came with the single Shakalaka added as a new singer. A year later, Tina Harris lead singer and the band gained international success with the single Everything's Gonna Be Alright, which reached the Top 10 on the charts in several European countries. Between 2000 and 2007 Jade Villalon was the singer of the band until she left the project along with Geo Rosan to start a solo career. With Jamie Pineda Heiko Schmidt undertook in 2007 the fifth lead singer for the project. Sweetbox sold a total of over three million albums and two million singles worldwide. The songs 1000 Words and Real Emotion were used in the video game Final Fantasy X -2.

Tina and Geo achieve global success

In 1997 Geo met the Maryland rapper and singer Tina Harris, the new lead singer of Sweetbox was. With Tina's entry into the project, the music of Euro House converted to hip- hop beats with rap verses. The first single, I'll Die For You was published by Harris in 1997 and had success mainly in Europe. But the next single Everything's Gonna Be Alright, which appeared in the same year, became an international success for the project. The combination of a hip- hop beats with the classic music piece Air from the Ouverture in D major, BWV 1068 by Johann Sebastian Bach and a gently sung accompanying became a worldwide hit.

The 1998 released single Do not Go Away was a very quiet interpretation of the Adagio in G minor ( Giazotto ), which dates back to the Venetian musician Tomaso Albinoni, and was also used as an introductory piece for the album Everything's Gonna Be Alright.
