The Tell es - Sweyhat (also known as Jebel Aruda ) is a settlement mound in Syria from the mid to late 3rd millennium BC
Location
The Tell is located east of Aleppo on the Euphrates, about 60 km upstream from Raqqa.
Nature
The north of Habuba Kabira settlement mound located only consists of temples, including the Grey Temple and the Red Temple. Jebel Aruda was not flooded by the Assad reservoir. Sweyhat is from 3100-1900 BC The site covers approximately 45 acres and consists of a central, high hill, about 15 meters above the surrounding plain, and a large low hill, surrounded by the remains of an earthen wall. Archaeological excavations took place between 1972 - 1975 by instead of Syria, UNESCO and the United Kingdom funded mission.
