Åšwiebodzin
Świebodzin ( German Schwiebus ) is a Polish district town ( powiat Świebodziński ) in the Lubusz Voivodeship with about 20,000 inhabitants.
Geography
The city is located in the central part of the Lubusz Voivodeship, 68 km east of Frankfurt (Oder) and 41 kilometers north of Zielona Góra ( Grünberg ). West of the city extends Reppener Heide ( Puszcza Rzepinska ) and in the immediate vicinity are several small lakes.

Świebodzin maintains partnerships with the three German locations Neuenhagen and Herzberg ( Elster) in Brandenburg and Friesoythe in Lower Saxony.
Traffic
The city Świebodzin is on the main railway line from Berlin to Warsaw. Here, addition cross the country road 2 ( droga Krajowa 2) of Frankfurt ( Oder) to Poznan and the national road 3 from Szczecin to Zielona Góra.
Attractions
The town hall was built in 1550 in Renaissance style, with late Gothic elements. In the 19th century, the distinctive tower was added.
The Christ the King statue, a 36 -meter-high statue of Jesus Christ, was born on 6 / 7 November 2010 finished on a 16 meter high hill. It has a total height of 52.50 meters, making it the largest Christ statue in the world.
