Swift Reservoir

The Swift Reservoir is a reservoir in Skamania County in the U.S. state of Washington. It was created in 1958 after the construction of Swift Dam by impoundment of the Lewis River.

The reservoir is approximately 14 km long and has an area of 18.7 km ². It is supplied in addition to the Lewis River from some streams such as the Drift Creek and the Range Creek, now form their partially flooded valleys coves of Swift reservoirs. Owes its name to the reservoir during the immediately leading- dam Swift Creek, which originates on the southern slopes of nearby Mount St. Helens. Swift Reservoir is the highest and largest of three reservoirs on the Lewis River, downstream lie the lakes Yale Lake and Lake Merwin.

Two leisure facilities - Swift Forest Camp and Eagle Cliff Park, both with boat moorings - located at the eastern end of the lake. Accessible these are a on the north bank of the Swift reservoirs along the road leading to the forest management of the adjacent Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
