Swimming at the 1980 Summer Olympics

The XXII. 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow 26 competitions were held in swimming, each 13 for both men and women. The event took place from 20 to 27 July 1980, the indoor pool at the sports complex Olimpijski. For races of women, the dominance of the swimmers from the GDR was stifling; they won 26 of 36 possible medals.
