Swing ) swingman or guard -forward is an unofficial name given to players in basketball, both the shooting can play guard and the small forward position and thus between the two positions back and forth " swing " can. They usually combine the good throw distance of a Shooting Guards with the force stressed inner game a Small Forwards and are usually 196-206 cm tall.

The better Swingmen use their unusual for each one of the two position size or athleticism to provoke defensive mismatches ( benefits for the offensive player by eg too small or too slow defenders ). You can go by too slow defenders or smaller players within the three- point line " aufposten " thus (using the own body or back push away ), or throw well over smaller defenders.

Known examples of players who can switch between the two positions are: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Paul George, Tracy McGrady and Ramūnas Siskauskas.
