Swiss Post AG ( French La Poste Suisse, Italian La Posta Svizzera, Romansh: La Posta Romansch; brand POST, LA POSTE, LA POSTA, SWISS POST) is a special statute limited company owned by the federal government and the largest postal company in Switzerland. History

Former PTT

The Federal Post was created on January 1, 1849 for the transport of letters, packages, people, and money transfers. Mail was transported by rail from 1857.
