Swoogle is a search engine that documents, terms and data may search the Semantic Web. Swoogle crawls to RDF documents and HTML documents with embedded RDF content.

You can ask Swoogle using a browser or software via programming interfaces.

The Results are listed based on algorithms similar to PageRank, but considering the classification structure of the semantic web.

Swoogle is from the University of Maryland Baltimore County ( UMBC ) with financial support from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency ( DARPA ) and the National Science Foundation ( NSF) developed and hosted.
