Sybil (cat)

Sybil (* 2006 in London, England; † July 27, 2009 in London, England) was a female cat that the title of Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office was between 2007 and 2008. The black and white cat was Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling and was named after the character Sybil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers.

Life

On 11 September 2007 was carried out by Gordon Brown's spokesman the official appointment of Sybil Chief Mouser. Previously, there was Humphreys resignation ten years no Chief Mouser, Sybil is a total of the tenth Chief Mouser.

Beginning of 2009, Sybil was brought to Edinburgh in Scotland. There were rumors that Gordon Brown did not like them. On 27 July of the same year Sybil died at the age of only 3 years.
