Sybille Reinhardt

Sybille Reinhardt ( born October 20, 1957 in Pirna as Sybille Tietze ) is a former rower from the GDR. She won Olympic gold in 1980 in the quadruple sculls.

Sybille Tietze approached for the SC Einheit Dresden and trained with Dieter Schubert. As at the World Rowing Championships in 1974 for the first time women's events were on the program, which at this time 16 -year-old Sybille Tietze sat in the controlled double -quad. Sybille Tietze, Jutta Lau, Ursula Wagner, Roswietha Reichel and Liane Weigelt as a control woman won the first world championship in this class of boat. In the GDR Championships 1975 World Championships 1974 with four Anke Grünberg won on Tietze's position while Tietze took third place with a Dresden -quad. For the 1976 Olympics in Montreal Sybille Tietze was nominated as Ersatzruderin, but did not get to use one.

At GDR championships in 1977 won a boat from the SC Berlin- Grunau in the cast Gust Sabine, Petra Boesler, Viola Kowal Schek, Gisela Medefindt and control Elke rust. For the World Championships in Amsterdam Tietze moved for Medefindt into the boat and in the cast Gust, Boesler, Kowalschik, Tietze and rust won the world title the boat. After the sculls of the GDR in 1978 won a medal at the world championships, returned in 1979 some experienced rowers in the quadruple sculls back. Sybille Tietze, Christine Röpke, Jutta Lau, Roswietha Zobelt (former Reichel ) and Liane Buhr (formerly Weigelt ) together won in the GDR championships and won well at the World Championships in Bled. After her marriage Sybille Tietze joined in 1980 as Sybille Reinhardt. In the occupation Sybille Reinhardt, Jutta Ploch, Jutta Lau, Roswietha Zobelt and Liane Buhr won the quadruple sculls at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.

In 1974 and 1980, she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit.

Sybille Reinhardt is a teacher of art education.
