Sykies (Greek Συκιές (f. pl. ), Katharevousa Sykee Συκέαι ) is a district of Thessaloniki, belongs however to the politically independent community Neapolis - Sykies in the region of Central Macedonia, as the seat of the municipality it serves.

Sykies was established as an independent country community ( kinotita ) in 1934 and 1954 township ( dimos ) levied. 2010, this municipality was merged with Neapolis, Agios Pavlos and Pefka to Neapolis - Sykies. The four former municipalities form the municipal districts of the new community.

At the 2001 census, the population was 41 726, 2011, only 37 753 actual residents were determined in Sykies. Based on 7.982 km ² area of the city results in a high population density of 4,730 inhabitants per square kilometer. From northeast to southeast of the inner ring Thessaloniki passes through the city.
