Sylvester Morand

Sylvester Morand is a British actor.

Life and career

Sylvester Morand was born in the United States. As a theater actor he stood among others at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh. His film debut in 1966, he played in an episode role of the television series The Wednesday Play. He became famous for the role of Nikolai Rostov in the BBC series War and Peace ( War & Peace ), which aired 1972-1974. In German-speaking Sylvester Morand is known through representations in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and the film adaptation of Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice.

Sylvester Morand's brother Timothy Morand is also active as an actor. Sylvester Morand who is domiciled in the London borough of West Hampstead, is married to the 1935 Vienna-born actress Susan Engel.
