Sylvia Young Theatre School
Sylvia Young Theatre School is a private acting school in Marylebone, London, named after its founder and director Sylvia Young.
Training
Originally, the school was founded in 1981 at Drury Lane, but due to necessary extensions she got her current location. Students attend either the full-time school (Full Time School), part-time classes ( Part Time Classes) or the school holidays (Holiday School). There are now beyond even adult classes. The fees for full-time education in the period 2008 to 2009 range from 2,100 pounds for a quarter ( 6,300 pounds one year) up to 3,210 pounds a quarter ( 9,630 pounds one year), depending on the child's age.
The school accepts both boys and girls aged 10 to 16 years. The school has a clear focus on the Performing Arts ( Performing Arts ), so acting, singing and dancing. But full-time students receive training and testing in all areas of the GCSE curriculum ( GCSE curriculum ). Admission to the school is done after a successful audition, so an audition, as well as a successful interview and a positive written opinion.
