Features

The mosquitoes have a body length of 4.5 to 5.5 millimeters. Your body is reddish -yellow to brownish. The head is blackish gray colored and dusted. On the back it is long haired pale yellow, under the face reddish or pale yellowish. The thorax is reddish brown and bears graubereifte spots and almost three black stripes on the mesonotum, of which the middle is slightly shorter and narrow rear expires. Lifestyle and dissemination

The animals are found in Europe. The adults all year round to watch and fly at light sources, so they can often be observed on windows. The larvae develop in decaying plant material, such as potatoes, or at the outlet of tree wounds.
