Symphony Teleca

Teleca is a telecommunications service provider in the field of software and hardware for mobile phones with headquarters in Malmö, Sweden.

Company History

In 2001, founded by Dan Olofsson 1986 IT consulting company Sigma AB was divided into three companies. Teleca AB took over the business " Embedded Solutions" Sigma AB. The two other companies Sigma AB ( company remained the same ) and Epsilon AB, which in turn arose from two business units of the old Sigma AB, " e-solutions " and " Engineering Solutions ", were divided between the shareholders and went to the Stockholm Stock Exchange. After this division had the Teleca AB approximately 1,200 employees. In 2002, the Teleca AB merged with AU - System and formed one of the largest consulting company in Europe in the fields of advanced technology and research and development. After the merger, approximately 2,200 people were employed in the two companies. The Teleca AB 2002 signed outsourcing agreements with Ericsson for research and development in France and Norway. The end of 2003, the group already had more than 2700 employees. Through the establishment of a new site in Lodz in 2004, the Focus was also directed to so-called low-wage countries. Teleca sold one of its subsidiaries Benemia to Ångpanneföreningen. At the same time, the corporate structure changed in Teleca Mobile and AU system. Teleca bought with Telma Soft, a Russian consulting company that is specifically geared to the development of mobile phone software. 2007, an additional location in China was established and enlarged the facilities in Russia and Poland. In 2008, the company is also initiating activities in India and includes the branch in France. End of 2008, a takeover loomed by CayTel.

Following the takeover by CayTel Teleca is no longer traded on the stock exchange since March 2, 2009.

The site Teleca Nuremberg was closed on 1 April 2012.

In February 2012, merged with the Teleca ansässigem in Palo Alto, CA-based Symphony Services to Symphony Teleca.
