Synagogue of Besançon

The synagogue in Besancon is a synagogue in the French department Doubs. It was built in the years 1869/70 by the architect Pierre Marnotte in oriental style. During the occupation during the Second World War the building was placed under the protection of a captain of the Wehrmacht. The synagogue is located on the Quai de Strasbourg; she was admitted to the Inventaire général du patrimoine culturel.
