Syntus

Syntus is a private transport company in the Netherlands. The subsidiary of Keolis (100 % ) offers bus and rail services.

The name Syntus stands for " synergy tussen Trein s bUS ", which means something like synergy between train and bus.

Stretch

Syntus operates passenger services on the railway line Zutphen - Oldenzaal. There are primarily vehicles of the type used LINT 41 of Alstom.

Bus lines are operated in Achterhoek and west of the Twente region.

Former routes

The services on the routes Arnhem - Winterswijk and Zutphen - Winterswijk were transferred to Arriva in December 2012.

Until a few years Syntus ran a cross-border bus service between Doetinchem, ' s-Heer mountain and Emmerich am Rhein. Meanwhile, the NIAG takes care of the cross-border operation between Emmerich am Rhein and ' s-Heer mountain.

From 10 December 2005 to June 2006 reversed Saturdays and Sundays a railcar between Arnhem and Emmerich am Rhein. The planned two-year pilot plant was set prematurely after the funding had been withdrawn from the Dutch side.

Between December 2010 and December 2013 drove Syntus the cross-border transport ( Grensland Express) on the railway line Almelo salt mountains between Hengelo and Bad Bentheim every hour in cooperation with the Bentheim railroad. he experiment was limited to three years and ended in December 2013, as the number of users behind expectations remained.
