Syria Palaestina

Syria Palestine is the name of a Roman province formed after the Bar Kochba revolt in the provinces of Syria and Judaea in the year 135. Aelia Capitolina was capital, the former and afterwards became Jerusalem.

In late antiquity, there were more name changes, and in the 7th century, the area was conquered by the Arabs.
