Syrovice

Syrovice ( German Serowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. Lies 14 kilometers southwest of the city center of Brno and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Syrovice located on both sides of the creek Syrůvka ( Kressbach ) in the Thaya - Schwarza valley floor. To the north rises the Hájiska (281 m). East of the village leads the expressway R 52 / E 461 over the next exit 10 is located at Rajhrad.

History

Archaeological finds in the municipality evidence of a prehistoric settlement.
