The company SYSPRO was founded in 1978 and was one of the first software company that developed a complete enterprise resource planning software for small and midsize businesses. The company has more than 1,500 offices and distribution partners. Use currently about 12,000 companies from 60 countries this software. In the main offices in South Africa, Australia, USA, Canada and England there are around 350 employees.

The software is a multi-tier application that can run both on a single computer alone as well as in a large client-server infrastructure with hundreds of simultaneously active users. The supported database formats are currently ISAM and Microsoft SQL Server. The Syspro software provides numerous programming interface that allows external developers to create custom applications based on the business logic shown in Syspro program code.
