System Administrator Appreciation Day

The System Administrator Appreciation Day ( english appreciation, recognition ') takes place in July since July 28, 2000 Every year on the last Friday. The Memorial was invented by the system administrator Ted Kekatos. Kekatos was inspired by a display of Hewlett -Packard in which a system administrator is thanked with flowers and fruit baskets of employees, because he installed a new printer.

He should serve the system administrator of his duties usually in the background - without attracting much attention - pursues to thank once a year for his good work.

Although the creation of this memorial day sure has some humorous aspects, is the serious background behind it, even once to thank the people whose work you do not always immediately noticed and that you would normally only calls when something does not work.

The System Administrator Appreciation Day is not a national or internationally recognized day of remembrance.

The next System Administrator Appreciation Day is celebrated on Friday, 25 July 2014.
