SZD-41 Jantar Standard
The PZL Bielsko SZD -41 Jantar (German: Bernstein) standard is a single-seat Polish high performance glider made of glass fiber reinforced plastic ( GRP). The shoulder wing has a T-tail.
The construction of Władysław Okarmus based on the SZD -38 Jantar 1, fuselage and tail were taken and the thermoforming process to the wing structure was adapted to the new lower wing. The sailor was given by the pilots nicknamed " whale " because when filling the ballast tanks through a vent valve in the middle of the trunk always came up a characteristic water fountain.
He was Flew on 3 October 1973 and 1974, he flew under the Polish team at the World Championships in Australia on the 3rd place. In 1976, he reached the 4th, 6th and 18th place during the World Cup in Finland.
