Szeligowo ( German Seelig field, 1937-1945: Oak field ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Połczyn -Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ) in the powiat Świdwiński.

Geographical Location

Szeligowo is located on the northern edge of the Pomeranian Switzerland in Pomerania, about ten kilometers south of Połczyn -Zdrój, and is Redło ( Redel ) on the road Świdwin - to achieve Połczyn -Zdrój. Station is Cieszeniewo ( Ziezeneff ) at the track Świdwin - Połczyn -Zdrój.

Name

Until 29 December 1937, the community took the name Seelig field. She was named after a Jewish owner named Seelig son. It was the Nazi ideologues reserved to rename the village in oak field. That was the name the village until 1945.

History

The foundation of the town Seelig field goes back to the years 1841 to 1845, when lands were divided and occupied by the manor Zuchen. 1843, the newly formed community already 381 inhabitants, and this number rose to 1861 on 556 people. In the 431.6 acre community lived in 1939 a total of 284 people, of whom the vast majority worked in agriculture and forestry. Here the livestock occupied a special place.

As a craft passed a blacksmith, carpenter, carpentry, roofing, a mason operation and tailoring. Between 1918 and 1945 worked in Seelig field or oak field as a church Mayor: Albert Piske, Max Dallmann, Ewald Steffen and Paul Bärwald.

It belonged to the church district Schivelbein in the church of the Evangelical Church of Pomerania Old Prussian Union. Last German minister was Pastor Paul Blank.

Today Szeligowo belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.
