T-FLEX CAD

T -FLEX Parametric CAD / CAM is a feature -based, parametric CAD software from the Russian company Top Systems. It allows creation of parametric models, that all parts can be changed by altering the dimensions in their geometry. Moreover, each attribute ( hatch type, materials, tools, appearance, etc. ) can be changed on parametrics, also, for example from a database or table out. Typically, many parts are combined into one or more assemblies. The parametrics of all parts is built across, ie even in a complex assembly structure, changes to the item to the total part (example: hole M8 M10 will, wherever this hole is used in such a context ).

T -FLEX Parametric CAD exists in this form since the 80s, so far, however, found primarily in Russia. Since the political opening the CAD system has also spread in other countries.

T -FLEX Parametric CAD is a Unicode based software, and is therefore in all languages ​​on MS Windows from 2000 available in both 32 -bit and 64- bit variant.

The system is essentially a complete package, comparable to other high-end CAD systems. Special advanced modules are available for the range dynamics and analysis, and CAM.

As a basis T -FLEX 3D uses the core Parasolid. All parametrics of T -FLEX can also be controlled from the outside, eg by connecting to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, Microsoft Access or a simple text file. Thus, families of parts can be quickly created and used by amendment or modification of table values.

The software is user-defined customizable and allows users to create their own dialogues.

An open programming interface ( API) provides options for connection to other systems. Some standard interfaces are, for example, DXF, DWG, IGES, STEP, Parasolid, SolidWorks, Solid Edge and Autodesk Inventor.

Areas of application

T -FLEX is designed for mechanical design and is used in sheet metal fabrication, tool, machine and plant construction, but also in the classic design area. By using Parasolid as a solid modeler and the possibilities of surface preparation as well as their combination T -FLEX can be used for each area. Specific areas of the software ( the basic package) offer such as special metal processing, express FEA, welding, pipeline construction.
