T. Jefferson Parker

T. Jefferson Parker ( b. 1953 in Los Angeles, California) is an American journalist and mystery writer ( The "T" in his name is not important, it was added by his parents only for aesthetic reasons ).

Life

Parker grew up in Orange County in Southern California, where he attended a state school, before he began his studies of English at the University of California at Irvine ( California). In 1976, he completed his university studies with a Bachelor.

At The Newport Ensign, a weekly newspaper from Newport Beach, the show was set in 1989, he began in 1978 as a junior reporter and was mainly used for police reporting. His move to the newspaper the Daily Pilot earned him three times the Orange County Press Club Award, an award for outstanding press coverage.

During his journalistic work began Parker were first novel material for collecting and writing in his spare time. With Laguna Heat ( German fire killer ) he published in 1985 his first, at the same time successful novel, which was filmed in 1987 by Simon Langton (German title: Laguna burns ). Parker was inducted into the ranks of major former students of the University of California in 1992.
