T. S. Kerrigan

Thomas Sherman Kerrigan ( born March 15, 1939 in Los Angeles ) is an American lawyer and author of the new formalism.

Life

Kerrigan was born in Los Angeles. He studied law at the University of California and Loyola Law School Loyola Marymount University. In 1965 he became a member of the California Bar Association.

Kerrigan served as president of the Irish American Bar Association in 2001 and defended before the Supreme Court of the United States, a law that had been enacted for the protection of workers during the Great Depression ( Lujan v. G & G Fire Sprinklers, Inc.).

Poems by TS Kerrigan appeared in major literary journals on both sides of the Atlantic. Also in the anthology edited by Garrison Keillor Good Poems (Viking / Penguin 2002) and Literature and Its Writers ( Bedford / St. Martins 2006) was represented his poetry. He also wrote two plays.
