T.TV

T.TV (originally Tango TV) was a Luxembourg television channel, which was distributed via cable and satellite. He sent on 2 February 2002 to 17 March 2007 and was one of 100% of the mobile phone company Tango, a subsidiary of Tele 2 Its range was just under 80 % of Luxembourg's households.

History

The actual start of the shows on TV Tango was on 2 February 2002, after it had begun a twenty -member team with the structure of the transmitter on 1 October 2001. Initially it was planned to launch with Tango TV one of the first UMTS transmitter. As an advertising medium you sent a few months analogously via the Astra satellite 1E. To attract attention to by the television series The Simpsons in the original is radiated.

First program director at the start of 2002, Steve Blame, who had begun his career with the European offshoot of MTV as a newscaster. With the re-launch in November 2004 as T.TV began to focus increasingly on information formats. Much of the program was broadcast in Luxembourgish, French and German, but it also found transmissions in English and Portuguese instead. This program window of the respective versions of the information programs Bloomberg TV and Euro News were established. The animated series The Simpsons was again added to the program schedule.

Finally, the program consisted mostly of program acquisitions of Antenne West, Saar TV and Fashion TV, as well as some self-produced information programs. The ratings were up 15% market share, however, lag far behind those of the market leader RTL Télé Luxemburg. On 17 March 2007, the transmission mode was set at midnight.
