Tab Benoit

Tab Benoit ( born November 17, 1967 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American blues guitarist, singer and composer. His style is a combination of swamp blues, soul blues and Chicago blues.

The music of the native Cajun is equally influenced by his cultural roots of Cajun music, as. Of the classic rock and blues musicians Albert King, Albert Collins and Jimi Hendrix Throughout his career, there were numerous collaborations with other musicians, including Charlie Musselwhite and Jimmy Thackery. In 2004, Tab Benoit teamed up with other artists ( including Dr. John ) the Voice of the Wetlands ( " voice of the Wet Lands" ), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of wetlands, the wetlands Südlouisianas prescribed. The " Swamps " ( marshes ) of the Deep South and the cultural identity of the region are increasingly threatened by the exploitation of rich oil deposits.
