Tabasco Road is an American animated short film directed by Robert McKimson from the year 1957.

Action

In a Mexican bar is celebrated - in a mouse hole, which is celebrating a family celebration, where Speedy Gonzales shows his racing skills. In between he tries to keep his friends Pablo and Fernando from excessive drinking, but can not prevent both stagger heavily drunk on the street. Here it is made by a cat that prompt both mice to fight. Only with great effort succeeds Speedy Gonzales to save the two mice from the cat or already swallowed mice to get back to the surface. When he thinks he has brought the two friends finally in safety, and even the cat has chased away with dynamite, he hears near Pablo and Fernando brawls: You are now calling drunk all the cats around here to duel and Speedy Gonzales makes himself the next Cat Fight ready.

Tabasco Road came on 20 July 1957 as part of the Warner Bros. cartoon series Speedy Gonzales, a sub-series of the Looney Tunes series, in the cinemas. Speedy Gonzales, Pablo and Fernando are spoken by Mel Blanc.

Awards

Tabasco Road was nominated in 1958 for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film ", but could not prevail against Birds Anonymous itself.
