Tabubil

Tabubil with 13,500 inhabitants, the largest city in the North Fly District of the Western Province of Papua New Guinea, although only slightly larger than the provincial capital, Daru.

Located in central New Guinea, about 20 km east of the border with the Indonesian part of the island (see: West Papua ) located Tabubil is a planned city of mining companies in dense jungle for the nearby gold and copper mine Ok Tedi Ok Tedi Mining Limited. The precipitate there is an average of 8000 mm per year.
