Tadashi Yanai

Tadashi Yanai (Japanese柳 井 正, Yanai Tadashi; born February 7, 1949) is a Japanese entrepreneur.

Life

Yanai attended high school Ube and studied at Waseda University in political science and economics thereafter. Yanai, he founded Fast Retailing, Asia's largest apparel companies, which is also known for its subsidiary Uniqlo.

According to the U.S. Forbes magazine his fortune and that of his family was 15.5 billion U.S. dollars, with which he is listed as the richest Japanese in The World's Billionaires in April 2013. Yanai is married and has two children.
