Tagliolo Monferrato ( Piedmontese Tajeu or Tajeo ) is a municipality with 1598 (as of 31 December 2012) a population of Alessandria in the Italian province (AL ), Region Piedmont. The neighboring municipalities are Belforte Monferrato, Bosio, Casaleggio Boiro, Lerma, Ovada, and Silvano d'Orba Rossiglione.
The village lies at an altitude of 315 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 25.91 km ².
The town's name comes from taliolus, maybe here was a scene of intense logging. Founded the town was 976 according to a feud with Aleramici and Otto I, he was then owned by different feudal lords. In 1750, the feud Family Pinelli Gentile, which is still current owner of the lock.
