Tahiti national football team

The Tahitian national football team is the selection team of the French overseas territory French Polynesia in the Pacific.

Tahiti is a member of the world football governing body FIFA and the OFC Regional Association since 1990. So far, it's the team not been able to qualify for a World Cup. At the World Ozeanienmeisterschaft the team finished in the first three editions in 1973, 1980 and 1996 respectively the second place, before it was the first time the Oceania 2012.

Tahiti has most often ( ten times ) won by all teams with 13 or more goals and held on 7 September 1963 to April 1, 1966 by a 18-0 against the Solomon Islands and 2 September 1971 to 11 April 2001 a 30:0 against the Cook Islands the record for the highest international match victories. Since Tahiti and the enemy at the time the games were not a member of FIFA, this game entry is lacking in the FIFA lists.
