Taholah is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. In 2000, the city had 824 inhabitants.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, Taholah has an area of 5.3 km ², of which more 4.4 km ² of land and 0.9 km ² ( = 17.16 %) to water.
Demography
At the time of the census of 2000, there were 217 people Taholah. The population density was 187.1 people per km ². There were 249 housing units at an average 56.6 per km ². The population of the town consisted of 4.85 % White, 93.2 % Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.73 % reported from other races, and 1.09 % from two or more races. 1.46 % of the population to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Residents Taholahs distributed to 240 households out of which 44.6 % were living in children under 18 years. 39.6 % married couples living together, 28.3 % had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.9 % were non-families. 13.3% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 2.9 % of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 3.43 and the average family size is 3.63 people.
The population was spread out with 38.1 % under the, 8.1 % 18 -24- year-old, 27.4 % 25-44 year olds, 21.1% of 45-64 year olds and 5.2 % under the age of 65 years or more. The average age was 28 years. For every 100 females there were 116.3 males. In the over -18s accounted for 100 women 113.4 males.
