Taillebois
Taillebois is a commune with 131 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region.
Geography
The municipality is located eleven kilometers north-east of Flers and is traversed by the Rouvre. It is located in the heart of Norman Switzerland. From the municipality, a majority of which is arable land, 83 acres are forest.
Etymology
The municipality is named after the noble Yves de Taillebois.
Economy and Tourism
Most workers from Taillebois work in the centers Flers or Condé. In the local economy outweighs agriculture, in the resort, there are six farms. There are also some smaller shops and a café.
The landscape is ideal for hiking and mountain biking, the Rouvre is highly valued in whitewater drivers.
