Taissa Farmiga

Taissa Farmiga ( born August 17, 1994, New Jersey) is an American child actress and actress, best known for her role as Violet Harmon in the television series American Horror Story - The dark side in you.

Life and career

Taissa Farmiga was born in 1994 as the youngest of seven children of the Ukrainian computer system analyst Mykhailo and the teacher Luba Farmiga in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Although she had no training or experience in acting, she was hired for the film Higher Ground, the directorial debut of her 21 years older sister Vera Farmiga. She embodied in this film, the 16 -year-old version of the character of her sister. After her appearance in the film was well received at the Sundance Film Festival 2011 by critics, she opted for a career as an actress.

In 2011, Farmiga played the role of Violet Harmon in the first season of the horror series American Horror Story - The dark side in you by the U.S. cable network FX. In the third season of the series, she played the role of Zoe Benson.
