Taiwan News (Chinese台湾 英文 新闻/台湾 英文 新闻, Pinyin Táiwān Yingwen Xinwen, formerly China News ) is one of the three largest English-language newspapers in the Republic of China ( Taiwan). The other two are the Taipei Times and The China Post. It is published by the food company I- Mei, which is also the mandarin language weekly newspaper of the same name ( Taiwan News, is the title written in English ) out there.

In 1949 China was founded in Taiwan News. At this time China news was published in the evening. In the year 1952 The China Post was first published, namely in the morning. To keep up with its competitors and not to lose its advertisers China had to change news and also publish in the morning.

The name of the newspaper was changed to " Taiwan News " after I- Mei ( a Taiwanese food group ) the publishing in 1999 of Simone Wei bought. After the change of ownership, the political orientation of the editorial staff has shifted towards the Pan - Green Coalition.

Since 1 January 2008, the Taiwan News tabloid published, replacing the old broadsheet format.
