Tajov
Tajov (Hungarian Tajo - to 1882 Tajova ) is a municipality in Banskobystrický kraj in the middle of Slovakia.
Geography
Tajov is located on the eastern slope of the mountains by the brook Kremnitz Tajovský Potok, 7 km west of Banská Bystrica. The municipal area covers 9.3 km ² and the height in the center is 464 m nm
To the municipality next to the main town of the district also includes Jabriková (Hungarian in the Red - incorporated on 1 January 1943).
History
The town was first mentioned in 1495 and was from 1500 to 1893 the site of two copper smelters.
