Takatsuki, Osaka

Takatsuki (Japanese高 槻 市, -shi ) is a city in the prefecture of Osaka in Japan.

Geography

Takatsuki is located north of Osaka and southwest of Kyoto.

History

Takatsuki was established on 1 January 1943. Due to its location between major cities Kyoto and Osaka and its easy accessibility per 13-15 minutes of Takatsuki Kyoto or Osaka, Takatsuki has experienced in recent decades a rapid upswing in particular as a commuter town.
