Takida

Takida ( official spelling: Takida ) is a Swedish rock band formed in Ånge Västernorrland.

History

The band was founded in 1999 by Robert Pettersson and Fredrik Holm and Tomas Wallin. The name goes back to the figure Gohei Takeda from the Japanese anime series Nagareboshi Gin. Besides Pettersson and Wallin form Mattias Larsson ( guitar), Fredrik Pålsson ( bass) and Kristoffer Söderström (drums), the current lineup of the band. The first demo, there were already 2000, entitled Old, the breakthrough in Sweden but succeeded only in January 2006 with the song Losing or in April 2006 with the album Make you breathe.

The second studio album Bury the lies from the year 2007 has been the most success and the band did in the whole of Scandinavia known, especially the song Curly Sue, who was represented a few weeks in the local charts.

The third studio album The Darker Instinct was released on 2 September 2009. Takida was in the years 2009 and 2010 on a promotional tour in Germany.
