Takkanah

Taqqanot (also Takkanot ) call in Judaism ordinances, regulations or agencies / organizations that were introduced over time, in the narrower sense those after the Talmudic period.

They include and regulate religious, moral, social, educational and tax issues of the Jewish population, especially in the Diaspora, and were and are liable to prosecution for carrying case especially fines, ban or expulsion from the community.
