Taklung Kagyu

Taglung Kagyu (Tib.: stag ment bka ' brgyud ) refers to one of the schools that emerged from the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism tradition.

The Taglung Kagyu is one of the so-called " eight small schools " of the Kagyu and after of Taglung Thangpa Trashi Pel ( Tib: stag ment thang pa bkra shis dpal; 1142-1209/10 ) was founded in 1180 Taglung monastery named. Taglung Thangpa Trashi Pel was a student of Phagmo Drupa Dorje Gyelpo (1110-1170), one of the main disciples of Gampopa. One of the current lineage holder of the Taglung Kagyu is the 7th Phagchog Rinpoche ( Tib: ' rin po che phags mchog ). Also living in Switzerland Nyingma Lama Jigme Palden Rinpoche Chokling keeps the transfer of Taglung Kagyu.
