Takuo Kojima

Takuo Kojima (Japanese小岛 卓 雄, Takuo Kojima, * November 1955 in Chiyoda, Gunma Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese astronomer.

He is considered the discoverer of asteroids profiled, who discovered 45 asteroids between 1987 and 2000.

Kojima received the Bachelor and Master of Engineering Degree for inorganic materials of the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

He is married with Megumi Edakubo and has three children.

The asteroid ( 3644 ) KojiTaku was named after him.

Of confusion

The periodic comet 70P/Kojima was discovered not by him but by Nobuhisa Kojima in Ishiki.
