Talakhamani

Talachamani was a Nubian king who probably governed in the 5th century BC.

He is known from a granite stele that was found in his pyramid Nu 16 at Nuri in situ. The pyramid is relatively small and may close on a short reign. After all, there is also evidence of inscriptions of the ruler in Meroe.

It is also called in the great inscription of his successor Arikamaninote. From this inscription we learn that he was the predecessor of Arikamaninote, which in turn refers to himself as the son of Malowijebamani. It may be concluded that Talachamani was the younger brother of Malowijebamani. The order Malowijebamani - Talachamani can also be opened up from a Elektrumband named Malowijebamani Cheperkare that in the pyramid Nu. 16 found, and likes to point out the close chronological relationship of Malowijebamani and Talachamani.
