Talence

Talence is a French town with 40,763 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The city is located in the arrondissement of Bordeaux and forms its own canton. It lies south in the suburb of Bordeaux. The community belongs to the community association Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux and is accessible by tram and bus lines of the TBC.

Talence is dominated by the largest campus of the University of Bordeaux. It was outsourced to the May riots in 1968 to a large extent in this suburb sleepy at that time in order to " remove " the flat rate applicable as troublemakers students from the center of Bordeaux.

Talence is also a wine-growing village in the wine growing region of Graves and Pessac -Léognan appellation belongs to.

Among athletes Talence is known as the venue for the annual all-around meetings " Décastar ".
