Tälesbach

Mouth of the Tälesbachs in the Nagold

The small river Tälesbach is a four -mile creek on the eastern edge of the Black Forest in Baden- Württemberg, which flows from the right and east into the Nagold in Calw district Hirsau.

Course

The source of the Tälesbachs is located on the southeastern outskirts of Althengstett near the Hunter Mountain. The small river Tälesbach flows from there first verdolt by Althengstett before he steps outside on the southwestern outskirts ⊙ 48.7218277777788.7822861111111488 again. A few hundred meters running down it passes under the first of three times the disused section of Weil der Stadt Calw the Württemberg Black Forest Railway and right after the federal highway 295 about a mile long, he then flows between meadows through the open hallway until he north of Calw district Heumaden reached a wooded area. Here ends of right his longest tributary, the Neuhengstetter Bach. From now on, the small river Tälesbach digs quickly. He has formed a small characteristic V-shaped valley with steep slopes on both sides, called a blade. This one mile long section of the valley carries the field names Fuchsklinge. Here the small river Tälesbach flows quite natural and partly more wild and romantic benches and next to rocks of red sandstone. In this area, turn right ends of his other major tributary monk hole digging.

The following section of the valley has changed the construction of the Württemberg Black Forest Railway. Ins lower Tälesbachtal laid great parts of a terminal loop on the railroad tracks in a gentle rise from the deep Nagoldtal overcomes the large difference in height at the right plateau. In its construction in the second half of the 19th century was poured to a large extent on the small river Tälesbach realigned and one channelized sections. The first in the direction of flow of the stream large embankment backfilled the Kerbtalgrund to a flat surface. The railway line occurs here in the downward direction from the Welzbergtunnel on the left side of the valley and crosses the old creek on this surface.

At the beginning of this mound of small river Tälesbach today is artificially divided into an aboveground and an underground flowing branch. The underground branch feeds below the stream bed lying, not visible outflow, which can absorb and dissipate only a limited amount of water. In prolonged dry weather disappears in this area the whole carried by the small river Tälesbach water between the stones of the streambed substrate, flows underground in a brick of sandstones channel under the railway line through it and comes below the railway crossing back to the surface. In partially of concrete, artificial bed of the aboveground branch flows in such dry periods then no more water. At higher water levels in the small river Tälesbach but also flows in the above-ground water bed. This open flowing branch first passes under a forest path ( Welzbergweg ) and then passes on its side under a small railway bridge of the railway line through it. After this its water falls over a multi-stage attack of concrete building of the Aufschüttungsfläche down in the natural valley floor. Here, below the Aufschüttungsbereiches, he joins the other drive now also open again flowing into a creek bed.

The other big mound in the valley, about 64 m high embankment, then crossed to the line for the third time running the Tälesbachs, locked the valley up to the dam from a basin. Derives from him about two meters high tunnel the creek from; before and after him the small river Tälesbach runs over several hundred meters channeled in a concrete bed.

Grave consequences for the Tälesbachtal also have two now disused landfill at the two valley slopes in the valley and on the edge. On the northern slope, the German Federal Railways for operation from about 1944 to 1973 a landfill with its own rail link, on the opposite southern town of Calw another. Trash and debris is dumped into the basin down to partially condense without him, the stockpile enough today in some places almost to the artificial concrete bed of the stream approach, by which he is guided in the landfills. Ground surveys in 2004 showed that the two slopes in a slippage at the height of the landfill and below in the valley. In case this were done, which is washed into the small river Tälesbach and then in the Nagold pollutants would significantly harm the environment. Maybe to slipping material could even block the outflow of the stream from the basin and rückstauen the water.

Therefore, the District Office Calw committed the previous operators to secure their former landfills. It is planned with very large quantities of soil as high fill the basin that the slopes are statically secured against slipping. The small river Tälesbach to be verdolt in this section and be led underground from the hazardous area. 2012 began with preparatory measures such as the construction of working paths and the clearing of the affected slopes.

Below the basin of the stream tumbles in his concrete bed almost to the level of the Nagoldtalsperre down and crosses under then there are the Nagold Valley Railway and the combined on a road between Calw and Hirsau federal highways 296 and 463 then it flows on the southern edge of the Hirsauer spa park next to the river bridge of right and east to the northward flowing Nagold here.
