Talkau

Talkau is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

History

The village, a Slavic settlement was first mentioned in records in Ratzeburg tithe register of 1230 for the first time. 1241 gave the Lauenburg Duke Albert the village to the monastery Reinbek, in whose possession it was up to the Reformation. 1855 Mary Magdalene chapel dedicated to the village square was created. Since 1889 Talkau belonged to the Office Wotersen, to the Official width field belongs Talkau since 1948.
